June 2, 2012, Pro-Life Mass and Rosary Walk: Join the pro-life community in praying for an end to abortion in Lincoln by participating in Mass at St. Peter Parish at 8:15 a.m., on Saturday, June 2nd, and a rosary walk to Planned Parenthood at 48th and Old Cheney following Mass. You are also welcome to come for only the walk, beginning around 9:00 a.m., in front of the church, which will include a 6 block walk and conclude around 9:40 a.m. We hope to make this prayer a regular practice on First Saturdays.

May 22, 2012, The Marian Mantle Silent Strength Prayer Group will meet Tuesday, May 22nd, at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital at 3:00 p.m., in the Flanagan Room. We recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet and pray the Rosary, in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows, and other prayers for the return of prodigal children to the church. Summer Blood Drive: Knights of Columbus council 11001 is holding a Summer Blood Drive starting on Memorial Day, May 28th until Labor Day, September 3rd. The blood supply at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank is currently at dangerously low levels. Someone needs blood every two seconds in the U.S. There is no substitute for blood, when a patient requires blood, there is only one source – a blood donor. Please consider donating. Contact the Nebraska Community Blood Bank at 402-486-9414 or visit their website at ncbb.org to schedule an appointment. Be sure to fill out a “Count Me In” card when you go in to credit your donation to our council. Family members, fellow parishioners, friends, and neighbors are all welcome too.

Eucharistic Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi

Hosted by Blessed Sacrament and St. Francis

Be prepared to give an account of the Hope that lies within you. (St. Peter)

Please join us for the Eucharistic Procession from St. Francis Chapel to Blessed Sacrament Church beginning with Benediction at 1:00 p.m., passing through some of the streets and parks of our parish, and arriving at Blessed Sacrament for final Benediction at approximately 2:00 p.m.

This promises to be a great event and is a wonderful opportunity to show forth our devotion to Christ our King as He reigns in our hearts in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Everyone is encouraged to take part in any way they can – by walking all or part of the route, by praying for the walkers, or by helping with rides to the start or end of the procession, etc.

Parish organizations are encouraged to walk as groups in the procession. This year’s First Communicants are encouraged to come in their First Communion outfits and accompany Our Lord through the parish. Acolytes will process in their albs.

In case of rain, we will process inside both churches. Maps of the exact route are available in the back of the church.

Mass and Rosary Walk for the Unborn

Unborn: Please join us on June 2nd, for the 8:15
a.m., Mass at St Peter’s followed by a Rosary Walk to
the abortion clinic to pray for the unborn. It is hopeful
this will become a First Saturday tradition.

Campin’ with the Marians

Marians is now accepting applications for both
campers. The camp is for girls entering 6th–9th
grade. Dads are welcome to spend time with their
daughter while helping around camp. Interested in

information. Registration deadline is June 12th.
Space is limited. Cost is $135 with financial
