What is Fest Quest?
The purpose of our annual fall parish festival called Fest Quest is to raise funds for the Church and School based on the current needs of the Parish. Each year a specific project is identified to benefit from this event, the largest parish fundraiser of the year.
Funds raised in 2010 will go towards structural repairs in the School Gym.
Fest Quest is an afternoon of family fun, activities, and food. It is a good time for all ages from our silent and live auctions to the live entertainment and great food. You can get your face painted, check out a fire truck, Lincoln Electric System safety demonstration, play a little bingo, and much more. Come & See!
Needs for Volunteers & Donations
As we prepare for our parish fall festival, known as Fest Quest, we need the help of the Parish to make this fundraiser successful. We need help in numerous ways including:
- volunteers to help with set up, during and take down of the festivities on Oct. 9 & 10th
- donations of cakes, pies, cookies for the Sweet Shoppe and Cake Walk (fresh baked preferred!)
- Cake decorators (young and old) showcase your cake (or cupcakes) decorating skills in the Cake Decorating contest (new this year!). Adult entries will be included in the silent auction and children entries will go to the cake walk after they are judged.
- donations of NEW items for the silent and live auction. Silent auction items typically are in the form of theme baskets (i.e. “Husker Mania” with all sorts of Husker goodies, “Movie Night” with movie rental gift cert, munchies, etc. Pick a theme and make a basket around it). Live auction items are typically larger items (approx. $100 value or more) and in the past have include Husker tickets, get away weekend packages, stay-cation packages, tools, etc.
- Gift cards to local merchants-buy through the SCRIP program for additional benefit to the parish. Gift cards are sold during the event on the “Block Party” game for a reduced cost and buyers have a chance to win one for 50% off or free if they pick a lucky card. This adult “game” is always a popular one and the gift cards go fast.
